Geo News Female Anchors


Nida Sameer

Nida Sameer is a leading anchor person of Geo News, the leading private news channel of Pakistan, which is also watched throughout the world by the Urdu speaking and understanding communities. Nida Sameer also hosted a social welfare show, \"Kehta hai dil\" (My Heart Says) on the channel some years ago. She is known for the soft and pleasant demeanor in her news reading style and is also very glamorous. She started off as Nida Fatima, one of the first news readers during the pilot run of the GEO news channel. She was married to Mr. Sameer in 2006.Nida  Sameer received her Masters in Mass Communication from Karachi University in 2001 and Young Development Professional Programme (YDPP) from NGORC (Aga Khan Foundation) Karachi in 2002. Later, she attained another masters degree in media and communications from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London, on a British Foreign and Commonwealth Scholarship in 2005.

She started a part time job from a FM radio in 2003-2004 then she worked in different channels as an anchor and as producer as well and in December 2005 she finally got the job in geo where she did the morning show for news (it was not for geo entertainment it was for geo news) then a sports show (score for mores than 6 months) then a entertainment show and then at last in june 2007 she started doing news anchoring but between march 2008 to september 2008 she was not with geo they hired her again in news in sep. 2008 and now again she is In Geo.

Fav  Movies: cast away, madagascar series, mummy series, and amitabh starrer movies are her favourites.
